what I want to congratulate is how gordon handles the marines. He doesn't directly engage them (kind of), but lures them out by blasting their teammates when they get up, funneling them to him in a more managable way, since realistically he'd be in pieces otherwise. Nice work.

I really appreciate how this shows that even some seriously tough guys like US marines can panic, and that panic can turn an easy win into a catastrophic engagement in just a few seconds. Also just that Freeman is a madman. I swear the marine screaming about them just bugging out is Freeman's Mind, Scott!

An old grip of mine about the HECU is that they make no sense at all in a lot of ways. Killing hundreds and probably over a thousand people at a well known research facility to cover up an alien invasion makes zero sense. You still have all the soldiers that saw everything. Also US military forces can't be deployed on US soil except under very specific circumstances. Last but not least killing all the civilians *US CITIZENS* like that is a major war crime and if you were lucky you would get life in prison and probably a firing squad. The US military has regulations on the books about something called illegal orders. Orders such as the ones to kill the Black Mesa researchers are an illegal order and any soldier hearing such an order should refuse it and repost that such an order was made to as high ranking an officer they can find. I know this has nothing to do with the vid which is great, but it's an old sore point with me. sm
